Recently, Leiann Van Lange started her internship as a new student at the Centre for Community Based Research. Leiann is a graduate student at McMaster University, pursuing an MSc in Global Health with a focus on Globalization and Equity, and working towards a Water Without Borders post-graduate diploma. She also holds a BA in International Studies with a minor in Public Health from the University of South Florida.
She has a strong background in project management and extensive experience in the development field. She has held various administrative roles at organizations including Feedback Labs, UNDP Guyana, the Pan-American Development Foundation, University Research Co., and the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture. Her passion lies in leveraging community feedback to collaboratively develop impactful solutions, while she actively expands her proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning best practices. She firmly believes that people are the best experts on their own lives and should play a central role in shaping the policies and programs that affect them.
In her spare time, she enjoys learning about nutrition and trying out new recipes, practicing yoga, reading, and watching a little too much TV.
