Rich Janzen, Executive Director at the Centre for Community Based Research (CCBR) published a recent open editorial in the Record, the local Waterloo Region Paper about taking a collective response to supporting refugees and newcomers who arrive in the Waterloo region.
CCBR has also compiled as a summary of three research projects undertaken by the centre. These projects were funded by IRCC and SSHRC. The resources describe the experience of Syrian newcomers and of communities trying to support them. The resources also include suggestions for better supporting refugees in our communities.
