Rich Janzen, Co-Director at the Centre for Community Based Research, was a guest speaker of a virtual workshop titled "Monitoring of Community Sponsorships". Rich presented on community-based approach to evaluation, how this approach can be adapted for refugee serving organizations, and the benefits/challenges/and lessons learned from this approach.
This workshop was hosted by the European Resettlement Network on June 16, 2021 and had over 100 participants from across Europe. The audience consisted of researchers, NGOs/social workers supporting sponsorship groups, lead sponsor organizations, sponsorship groups, some refugee participants, regional/national government representatives, and organizations working on policy regarding refugee sponsorship.
