CCBR conducted an evaluation of the Harm Reduction Community Care Project, a collaborative initiative involving PASAN, Dixon Hall, Street Health, and the Regent Park Community Health Centre. The evaluation focused on understanding the processes, benefits, and challenges of the project as it supported harm reduction workers and the broader community. CCBR aimed to assess how the program supported harm reduction workers, how it influenced the community, what strengths and challenges emerged throughout implementation, and what recommendations could inform future improvements to the program.

Purpose of the evaluation: The purpose of this evaluation was to demonstrate the processes and impact of the Harm Reduction Community Care Project, a collaborative initiative in partnership with PASAN, Dixon Hall, Street Health, and Regent Park Community Health Centre.

Research Questions

  1. What impact is the program having on harm reduction workers?

  2. What impact is the program having on the community?

  3. What are the strengths and challenges of the program?

  4. What recommendations can inform future program improvements?

To address the research questions, CCBR conducted a document review, which included past evaluation tools, program reports, and program statistics, as well as community survey data.

CCBR also facilitated two focus groups with program Harm Reduction workers and Program Coordinators, in addition to one interview with the Program Leads, to gain insights into program operations, strengths, and areas for improvement.
