The Centre for Community Based Research (CCBR), in partnership with the Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE), conducted this project to explore the barriers, promising practices, and support systems that shape employment outcomes for persons experiencing disability in Canada. Through in-depth interviews with job seekers, employees, and employers, this community-based research centers the voices and lived experiences of those directly affected. The project examines what works in hiring, retention, and career advancement, and what needs to change, to build more inclusive workplaces across the country. Findings are being shared at the 31st Annual National Supported Employment Conference to spark dialogue and drive action among employment service providers, employers, and community partners.
