Building Community-Based Evaluation Capacity for Settlement Organizations

The Centre for Community Based Research (CCBR) is leading the expansion of the National Settlement Evaluation Hub, an online platform for community-based evaluation resources and support in the settlement/resettlement sector. The Hub’s purpose is to build individual and organizational capacity to design and conduct program, organizational, and collective impact evaluation using a community-based approach.

CCBR will review key documentation related to community-based approaches, theories of change, GBA+, and collective impact to inform the continued development and expansion of online resources for the Hub. CCBR will also lead strategic planning around Hub sustainability and growth, including grant/investment opportunities and fee-for-service pathways, and will participate in the P2P conference to promote the Hub. The project is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) via University of Alberta.
