The Mennonite Brethren (MB) Confession of Faith is a guide for biblical interpretation, theological identity, and ethical practice. This research project will explore the divergent ways that Canadian MB congregations have used the Confession to guide their thought and action. It is believed that such an understanding may help steer a pathway forward for national leadership who are responsible for discerning and deciding when and how the Confession might undergo thoughtful revision. The project will conduct qualitative interviews with MB pastors across Canada and in online forums.
