Dr. Hsiao d'Ailly is an associate professor at Renison University College. Her areas of teaching and research include social statistics, social research methods, motivation, educational psychology, cross-cultural psychology, and immigrant adaptation. Dr. d'Ailly is an active member of the Kitchener-Waterloo community, and has served on several boards and steering committees for projects such as “Multiculturalism: Helping it Work” and “New Comers Online".

Dr. d'Ailly was the president of the board for K-W Counselling Services from 2005 to 2007. She was also the chair of Social Development Studies at Renison from 2007 to 2013 and from 2015 to 2018.
