Wing Lam (Veen) is a PhD student with the School of Public Health Sciences in the Human-Computer Interaction and Health Lab. As a registered social worker, Veen has worked for over a decade in the gender-based violence (GBV) and mental health sectors supporting marginalizing communities through a collaborative, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practice. Veen obtained her Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo, and her research interests include GBV prevention, health & social equity, arts-based methodology and technology.
