I was drawn to CCBR because of their focus and success with engaging community members and giving voice to those who often have less opportunity to affect positive changes in their communities. I’m excited to be a part of such a talented and knowledgeable group of people and eager to learn the best approaches to understanding social justice issues, enhancing lives and communities, and influencing policy through research.

A few years back I made a series of work trips to Antwerp, Belgium. On the weekends my coworkers and I would explore nearby cities and countries. It felt so adventurous to hop on a train and visit locations with such interesting history and such fabulous food. I would love to take my daughters back with me someday to continue exploring.

When I’m not working, I can be found hiking through the woods, kayaking on local lakes and rivers, or curled up with a good book.
