Master of Peace and Conflict Studies
Conrad Grebel University College
I was drawn to CCBR after hearing about the core values and approaches of community-based research. I was looking for an opportunity to blend my passion for community-led peacebuilding and conflict transformation with my practical skills in research. I knew immediately that CCBR was the perfect fit. During my time at CCBR, I am most looking forward to learning from CCBR staff, community researchers, and community members about the best ways to engage in meaningful research that has the capacity to positively impact the lives of people. I am excited to connect with community organizations and learn more about the work that is being done in Waterloo Region and beyond to facilitate community development and transformation. More personally,
Of all the places I have travelled to, I would most like to return to India. This was the first big international trip that I ever went on and I was in awe of the natural beauty of Northern India and absolutely loved indulging in all of the delicious food. When I’m not working, I love to try out nearby hiking spots, bake new recipes, and peruse the shelves of local thrift stores for unique, vintage items.
