1. Leaders Mobilizing Change
The CURA has facilitated several avenues for groups to come together and discuss mental health in the context of culture. In March and April 2010, we have held a number of successful one day workshops across the province and have had great feedback from the participants!
“Outstanding crystallized concepts and they will stay with me as I move forward in changing with the community in my work environment” –Past Workshop Participant
Participants also appreciated:
“Discussions -learning different aspects of struggles within system. Shared vision. I very much enjoyed the opening exercise and individual sharing”
“Networking - develop relationships/partnerships. Problem solving opportunity - group/community representation. Collaborative approach - working together”
Our last two workshops are coming soon – in Sudbury April 27 and Ottawa April 29.
Who should attend: Senior and middle management, executive directors and decision makers in mental health and settlement organizations, and leaders in cultural linguistic communities.
The workshop aims to bring together leaders in community mental health, settlement organizations and leaders in cultural linguistic communities. The purpose of the workshop is to support systems and organizational change by identifying local opportunities and strategies to move culture from the margins to the core of mental health services.
