Community Forums

In the spring of 2007, a series of community forums were held in Waterloo Region and Toronto to share the draft framework that was then used to develop community pilot projects. Community forums were held with the five cultural-linguistic communities in each city.

Waterloo

In Waterloo, one community forum was organized for the five cultural-linguistic communities collaborating in the CURA study (Punjabi Sikh, Somali, Polish, Mandarin, Latin American). It was held on March 24 at the Lyle S. Hallman School of Social Work (Wilfrid Laurier University). Over 200 people attended.

Toronto

In Toronto, there was a community forum for each of the five cultural-linguistic communities collaborating in the CURA study (Punjabi Sikh, Somali, Polish, Mandarin, Latin American).
