Creating a better future for communities through research

The Staff

Committed staff bring alive the vision of the Centre for Community Based Research. For each project we develop a unique project team, bringing together the necessary skills and passions for the task at hand. Teams are made up of a mix of core staff, community researchers, other contract staff and students. Our total staff ranges between 15-40 people depending on our project requirements.

        Community Researchers

Whenever possible, CCBR hires, trains and supports community researchers to join the growing network of community based researchers. Community researchers are people who live the issue under study. They bring their valuable experiential knowledge and community connections. Involving community researchers demonstrates CCBR's commitment to social justice --providing employment and training to people at the heart of the matter.

        Former staff and volunteers

Since 1982, over 100 people have been employed at CCBR. Many in this network still maintain contact with our Centre. If you are an alumni we would love to hear from you. Drop us a line at general@communitybasedresearch.ca or stop by for a visit.
