Before joining CCBR, Liliana completed her Master’s degree in Immigration and Settlement Studies at Ryerson University in Toronto. Her M.A. research explored the use of child interpreters in immigrant families and the effects it has on the parents’ immigration and settlement experience in Canada. Her research interests include various facets of immigration, including immigrant settlement and integration with a specific interest in immigrants and language barriers. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and has intermediate knowledge of French. Other Interests: Liliana loves staying up to date on Canadian and international politics, sports, and fashion.
