Chinese Post-Secondary Education ScholarshipThe Centre for Community Based Research established the Chinese Post-Secondary Education Scholarship in 2012. The scholarship is made possible through the donations of the KWCG (Kitchener Waterloo Cambridge Guelph) Chinese Community (www.kwcg.ca). The fund contributes to the education costs of local students of Chinese heritage entering into university. Awards will be given to five students this year. Awards will be $1,000 for first prize, $800 for second prize, and $600 for third prize (three students).
Donations for the Chinese Post-Secondary Education Fund will be gratefully received. Donate by making a cheque payable to the "Centre for Community Based Research" with "Chinese Post-Secondary Education Scholarship" written in the memo line. Mail it to: Centre for Community Based Research
Application Process All students entering into university interested in applying for the award should write a one to two page letter expressing their desire for the award and rationalizing their fit with the following criteria:
Application letters are accepted beginning June 1 and should be sent (by mail or e-mail) to the selection committee no later than July 22. When applying, please specify the name of the award in the subject line of your email. The award results will be announced on August 15th every year.
