Barbara Zupko, Vice President

Barbara is a Senior Manager at the Propel Centre for Population Health Impactatthe University of Waterloo, working in the area of tobacco and chronic disease prevention research. Prior to that, Barbara worked at Region of Waterloo Public Health in Planning & Evaluation.

Barbara has been involved with the Centre for Community Based Research in several ways starting in the late 80's/early 90's when she discovered the Centre's resources on advocacy for people with disabilities, later as a practicum student from the Community Psychology Graduate Program at Wilfrid Laurier University, and then as a researcher/research assistant on several Centre projects. Barbara joined the Board of Directors in 2006.

Barbara lives in Elmira where she keeps busy with family and her other volunteer work as the chair of the Board of Directors of Woolwich Community Services.
