Ana started her collaboration with CCBR early in 2008, when she moved fromTorontoto the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

In an effort to expand her knowledge and engage in community in new and more meaningful ways, Ana has undertaken a long term commitment to work in community based research.

Ana is interested in how research results can be effectively used in collaboration with communities in order to address important social issues.

Ana has an academic background in Sociology and her research interests include health promotion, immigrants' issues, gender and youth. She has extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis using various software applications. Since joining CCBR she has been involved in several projects requiring statistical analysis of both small and large survey datasets.

One of her current project is a two-year evaluation of a Social Work Bridge Training pilot program in Waterloo Region.
