Alexis joined CCBR in September 2009 as a research assistant for the CURA project - Taking Culture Seriously in Community Mental Health, assisting with the evaluation of several demonstration projects and knowledge mobilization. She has since become a full time researcher at the Centre and has worked on several program evaluation projects that have been local, national and international in scope. Alexis has over six years of experience working in the disability field and holds a strong belief in the values of community, citizenship and human rights. Her interests include social justice issues particularly in the area of disability, social and economic inclusion, poverty reduction, and participatory action research.
